Most employees in Oregon who made at least $1,000 in the year before may be eligible for benefits. Beginning on Sept. 3, 2023, eligible employees will be able to take leave and apply for benefits. Employees will apply for paid leave and file claims with the Paid Leave Oregon program. Paid Leave Oregon—not their employer—will pay them their benefits (except if the employer has an equivalent plan). Employees will have different options for being paid. We will update the Paid Leave Oregon website once we have more information.
